Russell’s parents have raised and shown horses for over 40 years. In addition, they run Mueller Feed & Farm, a distributor for Progressive Nutrition, supplying Kansas and eastern Missouri. Russell built on his feed knowledge by working with his dad in a feed manufacturing operation in central Kansas during high school and college.

Horses
have been and continue to be a focal point of Russell Mueller’s life.
Russell rode his first horse at two years of age, and horses have been a
mainstay of his life ever since. His horse roots began as a youth,
showing Appaloosas at a national level. Today he continues by
showing Western Pleasure where he is a Lifetime member of AQHA.
To
further continue his involvement in the equine industry, Russell earned
a Masters in Equine Nutrition at Oklahoma State University in 1999,
specializing in mineral and starch metabolism. For Progressive
Nutrition, Russell covers Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Michigan, Wyoming &
Florida. With his expertise in nutrition, combined with his horse
experience, he has provided numerous nutrition seminars in over 11
states. He has twice taught the 3rd year Equine Clinical
Nutrition course at Kansas State University School of Veterinary
Medicine. He has passed certification as a Professional
Animal Scientist by the American Registry of American Animal Scientist,
specializing in the equine discipline and remains a member in good
standing with the Equine Science Society. |
