My
horse experience growing up started when I lived in rural Virginia
taking riding lessons at a small barn. I began riding English; Hunter’s
to be more specific.
My father was in the military so I have lived in
every part of the United States riding in each new place we moved to. I
really started my showing career when we moved to Scottsdale, AZ. I was
showing most weekends during the winter soaking up the beautiful desert
sun. After graduating from high school, I moved to Fort Collins, Co to
attend Colorado State University (GO RAMS!) where I graduated in 2002.
While
in college I was not able to ride much, but horses were always on my
mind. I focused my studies in Animal Nutrition while at CSU, after
graduation I moved to Denison, IA where I started working for
Progressive Nutrition as the Customer Service Specialist. After working
for Progressive Nutrition for about two months I got the itch again and
bought a yearling thoroughbred colt, affectingly named MONSTER (and yes,
the name fits).
I am currently training him to become a hunter, as he
is much too lazy for the Jumper ring as I had hoped. I love my job, and
I am always looking to talk to somebody new so if there is ever anything
that I can help you with please let me know.
